About Mavisehir

Mavisehir, which means Blue Town in English, is a district of Didim and is on the right hand side as you enter Didim. If you are travelling from Altinkum to Mavisehir there are local minibuses (minibus is dolmush in Turkish) that go to the area. Mavisehir is just beyond the Apollo Temple when departing from Altinkum. Mavisehir also has a small bus terminal, with a couple of bus companies, for those that are coming to Mavisehir from another city.

Mavisehir has a couple of sandy beaches and small quiet inlets and is primarily a residential area for Turkish holidaymakers. You can enjoy a nice meal in one of the exquisite restaurants which specialise in locally caught fish and Turkish cuisine.

For some outdoor activities you may want to visit Didim's Aqua Park, which has numerous water slides and activities for people of all ages, and is also located in the Mavisehir area. Another thing that can be done while in Mavisehir, is visiting the daily local bazaar where you can purchase things from textiles to vegetables.
